We officially launch with Marathon Health TODAY! The Marathon Health online portal and health coaching services are available to ALL Atlantic employees! Please watch this quick video and read all the details below!
Health coaching is now available to ALL Atlantic employees. Your Marathon health coach is there to help you on your wellness journey by offering support, education, and and encouragement. They can help you set individual goals that are in line with your specific needs and aspirations. Once you’ve chosen the areas you would like to work on, they can work with you create a realistic, actionable plan.
Health coaches will be visiting each branch twice a year for in-person meetings and provide telephonic coaching and comprehensive health review appointments between onsite visits. You can schedule telephonic appointments now in the Marathon portal. Once the onsite visit dates are confirmed (early 2020), those appointment dates and times will be available as well.
*If you are at the Charleston, Greensboro (both locations), Greenville, Wilmington or Youngsville branches, your health coach, Caitlin, will have her appointment times available starting November 25th.
You can schedule your required Comprehensive Health Review or health coaching visits directly from the Marathon portal by clicking “New appointment” on the homepage or by calling your health coach.
You will be responsible for making and attending your own appointments.
TIP: Make sure to schedule your comprehensive health review and health coaching appointments early while there are lots of time slot options available.
Each employee received secure login information (the username and password you used when competing your HHRA) to their own individual eHealth Portal with Marathon Health which houses their Health History and Risk Assessment Questionnaire and Personal Health Record; patient questionnaires to record relevant health history and symptoms; a wellness profile and scorecard; a secure messaging system; constantly updated medical content; and dozens of interactive tools like fitness and nutrition trackers, demo videos, appointment scheduling, and more.
You can also sync your wearable devices (such as Fitbit, Garmin or Jawbone) with the eHealth Portal for wellness activities such as food logs, exercise logs, and healthy challenges, with automatic updates in their Personal Health Record (PHR).
And lastly, you can track your wellness points. To see the list of options for earning points and to find your point tracking information click “Wellness Incentive Program 2020” in the Wellness box on the homepage.
Wellness Points & Insurance Premium Discount
This year we are moving to a Wellness Points system. Employees must collect 100 points between now and August 31st in order to be eligible to receive the medical insurance premium discount for next year. If you did not do your biometric screening or HHRA for this year to receive the discount, you can still complete them now and earn the 100 points to be eligible to receive the discount next year.
There are lots of ways to get points! First, everyone starts off with 20 points: 10 for completing your biometric screening and 10 for completing your HHRA so you’re already on your way to 100! Here are the other ways to earn your remaining 80 points:
- Completing your required Comprehensive Health Review where you review your biometric screening and HHRA: 10 Points
- Having achieved healthy ranges for 3 out of 4 biometric values during the September screenings: 50 Points
- Completing 2 health coaching visits: 50 Points
- Setting and meeting a health goal with a health coach: 30 Points
- Completing one of the preventative exam options such as having a Colonoscopy, Mammogram, Dental, or Eye Exam: 10 Points Each (20 Max)
- Getting an annual physical: 30 Points
- Completing the UNWIND workshop: 20 Points
- Participating in a lunch and learn: 5 Points Each (Max of 10)
- Completing the goal of a step challenge: 10 Points Each (Max of 20)
Viewing Points & Where to Find Them at your Branch
If you don’t have regular access to a computer, you can access the portal from a cell phone. Also, each branch coordinator will post printed monthly point reports at a designated location in your branch. Please contact your branch coordinator if you have any questions.
Did you Miss the Deadline for the 2019 – 2020 Insurance Premium Discount?
Did you miss the deadline for completing your biometric screening and HHRA? You can still earn points this year to receive the discount next year (2020 – 2021)! Complete your biometric screening (at LabCorp or your PCP) and HHRA in the Marathon portal. You need to accumulate 100 points by the August 31st deadline to be eligible to receive the discount on your medical insurance premium next year. Carter Wellness Clinic in Tabor City
Marathon Health will also be taking over the management of the Carter Wellness Clinic in Tabor City. We are excited that Doris will be staying onboard as our Tabor City provider. You can make an appointment with Doris using the Marathon eHealth portal or by calling Doris. The new hours of operation will be Monday and Wednesday from 7:30am until 6pm. Doris will also be providing health coaching services.

The Atlantic Wellness program is committed to helping you achieve your best health. Rewards for participating in a wellness program are available to all employees. If you think you might be unable to meet a standard for a reward under this wellness program, you might qualify for an opportunity to earn the same reward by different means.
