Our Dedicated Marathon Health Coaches

Health coaching is one-on-one support to guide you on your journey toward lasting behavior change. Coaches will work alongside you to help you develop a personalized action plan to adopt lifestyle changes to help you achieve your goals. Whether that is to run your first 5K or your next marathon, to lose weight or gain muscle, to get a better night’s sleep or manage stressors in your life, health coaching is a great resource. ALL Atlantic employees have access to our Health Coaches. However, if you are on the medical plan, a health coaching visit is a requirement to receive and keep your wellness discount.

Ryan is a Registered Nurse who is knowledgeable and passionate about the impacts of healthy lifestyle on health outcomes. As a certified Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner, he has been part of helping many people achieve remission to chronic health conditions with experience in diabetes, heart, and weight management care. He takes time to meditate daily, enjoys just about any activity outdoors, and loves sharing meals with friends and family – especially homecooked, Italian meals! 

Ryan is available for Health Coaching on Tuesdays from 8am-5pm, Wednesdays from 12:30-4pm, and Thursdays from 10am-6:30pm.  For more about Ryan, click HERE or watch the video below.

Tabor City

Wendy Small Meares is a Nurse Practitioner who is a Columbus County native. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to receive her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and worked as a nurse educator in the Tabor City community for 15 years. She obtained her Master’s of Science Degree in Nursing Education at Duke University where she graduated with honors. Wendy completed her Nurse Practitioner program at U.N.C. Wilmington and is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has recently worked with a major health care company for the past 7 years with a focus on wellness and health education. Wendy enjoys cooking, gardening and spending time at the beach. She and her husband James reside between Fair Bluff (their hometown) and Cherry Grove.

Wendy’s hours are Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30am – 6pm. For more about Wendy, click HERE.
