September is Suicide Prevention Month.

This month aims to raise awareness and break down the stigma oftentimes related to suicide. In addition to shifting public perception, this month is also used to spread hope and vital information to people affected by suicide. The goal is to ensure that all individuals, friends, and families have access to the resources they need to discuss suicide prevention and to seek help.

To aid in this effort, we, in conjunction with our dedicated Behavior Health Specialist with Marathon Health, Tiffany Huggins,  have created a space where you can learn more about the Warning Signs, Reducing the Stigma, the connection between Substance Abuse and Suicide, and Risk and Protective Factors. Click the pictures below to access these resources.

We have also created short “Mental Health Minutes” with key information from each of the webinars. Access these by clicking the picture below.

All video resources can be found by scanning the QR code below.

At Atlantic, we actively work to maintain a culture where those struggling with their mental health do not feel alone. Research shows that 8 in 10 adults in the U.S. are eager to learn how to help someone who may be suicidal. Here are a few of those people from across our company’s footprint.
