Just across the bridge entering into Wrightsville beach is a great locally owned seafood gem, Mott’s Channel Seafood. The fact that it is justifies just just how fresh the food is (I’ve even caught a glimpse of employees cleaning oysters out on the dock before).

I’ve bought grouper, mahi mahi, shrimp, and scallops here and have never been disappointed. During summer months you can even purchase fresh tomatoes, beans, potatoes, lemons, corn, and the list goes on. Need old bay? They’ve got it. Cocktail sauce? Got it. It’s a truly one stop shop for an incredibly delicious, nutritious, and fresh meal. Did I mention it’s not overpriced? Even better!

With a little help from google, and a whole lot of help from Harris Teeter recipes, here are a few meals that I guarantee will not disappoint.

Ginger Chili Scallops
Grilled Mahi Mahi
Lemon Pepper Shrimp

Check out Mott’s Seafood, open 8am-7pm. If you are lucky, you may just “catch” a Wrightsville Beach sunset from the parking lot!
